An Electric Eight Months Old!
Wow!!! It's been eight months already! Savannah has grown up quite a bit since my last update. She's crawling very well and she can pull her self up to a standing position. Savannah does A LOT of talking, haha! Mostly ba-ba, da-da, and this past Sunday she FINALLY said ma-ma!! She's been eating really well too. The only thing that she's tried that she doesn't like is chicken noodle (puree). She's had all types of granola, oatmeal, risotto and the list goes on... I am also very excited to share that she has her first tooth! We won't get another growth (height/weight) check until her 9 month appointment with her doctor. Last month Savannah and I started attending the weekly play group and story time get together on post. I think she is learning a lot from watching other children play. She'll be walking in no time!!! I'll be posting some videos later this afternoon, love you all!!!

Such A Big Girl!
Today was Savannah's 6 month check up! It went great! She is currently 12lbs 9 ounces and 24 inches long. The doctor said Savannah is really strong and developing right on track. Savannah has eaten green beans, bananas, squash, sweet potatoes, apples, pears and prunes. We'll be trying peas and avocados next. Her favorite activities are playing with Foxxie and taking walks in her stroller. She's still talking a lot, but we haven't heard her say any real words yet. She is sitting really well and getting up on all fours. I'll be baby proofing tomorrow to prepare for all of the crawling she'll be doing soon!
It's been so fun watching her grow up! Everyday she's doing something new. I'll be posting a lot of videos to catch you all up on her budding personality! Love you all!

After Sav's 4 month appointment
We're back from Sav's 4 month appointment! It went really well. She now weighs an impressive 10 pounds 10 ounces and she's 23 inches long. Most babies her age are about 12 to 14 pounds, so our little Sav still has a little catching up to do. The doctor was very surprised to see how strong Savannah is. She told me to continue giving Sav lots of tummy time, and encourage unassisted sitting. Thanks for checking out Savannah's blog. I'll post some pics from dinner later!

4 Months Old!
Our little Savannah is growing up! Her 4 month check up is tomorrow. She'll get her next round of shots and we'll get her new height and weight. Sav has turned into a little busy body. She enjoys spending time in her Bounce About. Her favorite toys are Mr.Inch, her crawling Snail and her doll Olivia (Daisy). Savannah also loves storytime. She sits in my lap like a big girl and makes little noises as we go through each page. My favorite thing about Savannah right now is listening to her talk! I can't wait for her little sounds to turn into actual words. When she's in a really good mood she'll talk for what seems like FOREVER! I also love the mystery of Savannah's movements in her crib. I don't think she can crawl, but she is definitely a professional scooter! I'll put her in her crib in one position, and when I go to get her after she wakes up, she'll be on the opposite side of her crib!
Now that Savannah is 4 months old she can officially start solids. I must admit that we broke the rules and introduced Sav to bananas about two weeks ago. SHE LOVES THEM!! She eats from the spoon like a pro, and I am so excited about introducing her to new foods! This week we'll be starting green beans. I plan to introduce 1 fruit for every 2 veggies. I make her purees myself and so far it's been pretty fun. She has had store bought food too, and we'll continue to use it when we're out and about.
If you haven't noticed, Sav does have her ears pierced! She handled it so well and only cried for a second or two.

2 Months - Too Cute!
I can not believe it's been two months already! We went for Savannah's two month check up yesterday. Her new fighting weight is 7lbs and 12oz., and she's 20 inches long! Our visit to the doctor went pretty well. We both made it through her shots with minimal tears. Savannah is growing right on track. Her doctor could not believe how strong she is. She's tiny but she packs a strong punch! (Sound familiar?)
Lately, Savannah has a lot to say. I'm amazed at how well she interacts with us. Her personality is really starting to shine, she's such a little lady already. Is it too soon for her first pair of heels? Ha! Just kidding! I suppose she should learn to walk first. (wink) Every day with her gets better and better and we are loving every minute.

Let's Play Catch Up
Hello Friends and Family! Thank you for visiting our family blog! We hope that you enjoy our stories, videos (hopefully, if I can get them to load) and pictures. We can't believe that our little Savannah is almost 2 months old, boy, time REALLY does fly!
I remember like it was yesterday... on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 we found out that our lives would change forever. We discovered that there was a baby on the way. Mike was SPEECHLESS, and I was super excited. We had a very happy and healthy pregnancy. There were times when I would be exhausted or cranky but for the most part being pregnant was a breeze. I was able to wear my high heels through out the whole pregnancy, and I didn't really have to go overboard buying maternity clothes. A plus to being pregnant in Texas during the Spring/Summer. So, let this be a testament to my baby-free girlfriends... You can be pregnant during the summer and not be a pre madonna drama queen waddling in flat shoes. Holding on to what you feel makes you fabulous is the secret to being happy and pregnant. After all, you are having a baby...A baby is not having you!
